So I don't actually have a picture of this recipe completed, sorry about that...you can use your imagination. Another successful baking excursion, this isn't as tough as I though it would be. This recipe was super easy, try it, you won't be sorry!
6 T unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
6 large eggs, yolks and whites separated
1/2 cup sugar
confectioners' sugar for dusting (optional)
Preheat oven to 275.  Butter a 9in springform pan.  Place butter and chocolate in a large heatproof bowl, set over (not in) a saucepan of simmering water; heat until almost melted.  (My bowl was not heatproof, but I was very careful!).
Remove from heat, stir until completely melted and combined.  Whisk in yolks.
In another bowl, beat egg whites to soft peaks with an electric mixer on medium-high speed.  Gradually add granulated sugar; beat until peaks are stiff and glossy.
Whisk one fourth of whites into chocolate mixture; gently but thoroughly fold mixture into remaining whites.  Spread batter in prepared pan; smooth top.  Bake until cake pulls away from sides of pan and is just set in the center, 45-50 min.  Cool completely on a wire rack.
SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!
